Our two new CNC routers have arrived! Thelma and Louise (at least I am calling them that) will be adding to our growing capabilities and we already have a long list of new and exciting ideas that we can't wait to reveal in the coming weeks!
They are nearly identical machines, however one (Louise) has a water table so we can cut harder materials like aluminum and low-grade steel, stone, carbon fiber and hard plastics. The other (Thelma) has a rotary attachment so we can mill on round surfaces.
While they are not technically "milling machines" they are very rigid with tight ball-screw drives and linear rails as opposed to rack-and-pinion drives with idler bearings like on other CNC routers.
